tutor is for students. |
The
author creates and edits lessons. Text to speech (TTS) is automatic. Recorded sound will override the TTS. Making new lessons is as simple as dragging words from the floating dictionary browser to the sentence panel. The new lesson will appear as you add words. Step by step instructions for creating lessons are in the authoring manual. |
The
Dictionary creates and edits the multimedia words used in the Author.
There are 3000 root word icons and extra icons for tense, plurals, phonics, punctuation, and numbers. New dictionaries are simple to create. |

| Student
workbooks are included on the CD. The books are half-page size, so when they are printed, they should be cut in half. |
The icon collection is separate and includes 5000 bitmap images, 54 pixels high. Icons from this collection can be inserted in any document. Icons can easily be created using photo images of students or other real people and places. Just size the photo to 54 pixels in height, and add to one of the dictionaries. | There is one poem online that has the same functionality as the CD. It is the model for the online program to come. In the meantime, the CD can be downloaded or received in the mail. |
